Oh my goodness that was exhausting. Maya remained in labor throughout the night. She didn't want to be alone so I had to sleep on the floor in the hallway. I only managed about 2 hours total of sleep anyway though because with every movement or sound she made I had to check on her. She did throw up once through the night (clear liquid-a little foamy). She had not been to the bathroom or eaten anything for quite a long time. I managed to get her to go out to urinate two times this morning and she appeared to be straining to have a bowel movement, but I am sure it was just that she had the sensation of needing to have one, but with no food in her there was nothing to get rid of. It did seem to help the process along though as she delivered her first pup shortly after her 2nd trip out.
